My first official ripper hot dog. Fab Hot Dogs can sure put together a dog. This one is a ripper topped with their house made spicy mustard relish named the ’Bald Eagle Ripper’. For those of you unfamiliar with the ripper style hot dog, it is where the wiener is deep fried causing the casing to rip, hence the name. This process gives you a wiener that has a fried texture on the outside and a juicy, softer inside. The wiener itself was delicious. Despite the crude appearance of their spicy mustard relish, it was pretty good. The SMR (spicy mustard relish) seemed to have lots of tiny chopped ingredients. It definitely had a spice to it, but it wasn’t off putting. The spice added flavor, not a kick of hot. I can’t say I was able to specifically taste the relish or mustard in this concoction, but the ingredients definitely fused together and made something special. I will be having this dog again, but first, there are lots more of Fab Hot Dogs’ specialty creations I have to try.
Fab Hot Dogs will definitely have something you’ll love and enough variety to keep you going back. For those picky eaters, you can build your own dog just the way you like it. And for the adventurous, you can create a a dog of epic proportions.
